Wolff Seeks Clarity on Verstappen’s Driving Rules: ‘Permitted in 2021…’

Max Verstappen and Lando Norris collided during the Austrian Grand Prix, causing Norris to retire early. Verstappen continued but finished fifth.

People talked a lot about Verstappen’s aggressive driving. Toto Wolff shared his thoughts on the incident.

Wolff’s Take on Verstappen’s Driving

“Max drives the way he drives,” Wolff told Mundo Deportivo when asked if the clash between Verstappen and Norris reminded him of Hamilton vs. Verstappen in 2021. He thinks Max pushes as much as he can within the rules, and this needs discussion for all drivers.

Wolff also mentioned other drivers like those from Alpine, Tsunoda, and Magnussen. He said many drivers push hard, sometimes too hard or unfairly. Fans might think this is just part of racing drama.

He concluded by saying we need clear rules: “In 2021 that was allowed, what do we do with that now?” Wolff wants everyone to understand what is fair in racing.

What do you think? Should rules be clearer?
