Windsor Claims Norris’ Dominance Surpasses Verstappen’s Achievements

Peter Windsor thinks Lando Norris was amazing at the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix.

He even said Norris did better than Verstappen ever did in one race.

Windsor talked about how Norris led by almost 30 seconds at one point. Despite hitting the barrier twice, he still finished about 20 seconds ahead of his main rival. This is the second time Norris has won a race with such a big lead, the first being at the Dutch Grand Prix where Verstappen also came second.

On his YouTube channel, Windsor noted how Verstappen drove well in a car that wasn’t as good as McLaren’s. “Max Verstappen, who drove incredibly well, I think, in a car that quite patently was not as good as a McLaren,” he said.

Windsor sees Norris do something Verstappen never did

Windsor couldn’t stop talking about how impressed he was with Norris’ performance. He pointed out how Norris pulled away from Max by one second per lap. “We haven’t seen that for a long time. Since Max Verstappen, really. And Max never did that,” Windsor explained. He compared this to Jim Clark and said it was “totally brilliant.”

Fans might think it’s interesting to see someone finally outshine Verstappen.

According to Windsor, Verstappen had a different strategy. He focused on finishing second to limit the points damage from Lando winning. “Max was thinking, all I’ve got to try and do here is finish second and limit the damage of points of Lando winning this race,” Windsor said. And that’s exactly what he did.
