Williams Unveils Striking New Livery for Las Vegas Grand Prix

Williams Unveils Flashy New Vegas Livery with AI-Inspired Design

Williams F1 has just dropped a head-turning new look for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix that’s bound to stand out under those famous Strip lights.

The special livery celebrates their partnership with title sponsor Atlassian and features their AI teammate called Rovo.

This marks the second special design in as many weeks for the British team, following their custom look at COTA.

Team boss James Vowles is clearly excited about the new paint job. “This striking livery celebrates our work with Atlassian, who are helping speed up our tech transformation and bring Williams back to the cutting edge,” he said.

“There couldn’t be a more perfect place to show this off than Las Vegas, one of the most tech-forward cities in the world.”

The new look isn’t just for show. It highlights how the team is embracing technology to climb back up the grid.

Sorin Cheran, the team’s Chief Information and Analytics Officer, explained how their AI helper fits into their racing operation.

“During a hectic F1 season, we need to find improvements quickly,” Cheran said. “Rovo helps us search through files, data and information on our Atlassian system, ultimately helping us upgrade faster and find that all-important laptime.”

That technology is crucial for a team with big ambitions.

“This is essential if we want to achieve our goal: to get back to the front and win multiple World Championships,” he added.

The striking design features glowing blue elements against the team’s traditional blue background, creating a futuristic look that’s perfect for the neon-lit Vegas race.

It’s another sign of how Williams is trying to modernize every aspect of their operation after years of struggling at the back of the grid.

The team currently sits 7th in the constructors’ championship with three races remaining in the 2023 season.

Fans can catch Williams’ special livery under the lights when F1 races down the famous Las Vegas Strip on November 18th.
