Weather Forecast for Dutch GP Weekend: Will It Rain?

The Dutch Grand Prix is back after a three-week summer break.

This will be the fourth year in a row that the Zandvoort circuit hosts an F1 race, and last season’s event was drenched in rain, which might happen again.

Weather Forecast for the Dutch Grand Prix:

Rain hasn’t been frequent during the 2024 Formula 1 season. However, the last race in Belgium had a wet qualifying session that mixed up the grid, though the race itself was dry. Last year’s Dutch Grand Prix had mixed conditions that caused chaos at the start.

According to weather.com, there’s a possibility of rain throughout the entire weekend. On Friday afternoon, there’s a 32% chance of rain with winds reaching speeds up to 23mph and gusts possibly hitting 40mph. The temperature is expected to be around 22°C.

The likelihood of rain increases to 52% on Saturday, with temperatures predicted to be 19°C. Rain is expected to come and go, which could make things tricky for the pit crew. Wind speeds will drop to between 10-20mph. For Sunday’s main event, the chance of rain decreases to 18%, but wind speeds will remain similar to Saturday.

Fans might wonder if this unpredictable weather will shake things up on race day.

What do you think about these weather predictions? Will it make the race more exciting or just messy?
