Vettel & Schumacher to Create German Super Team

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher are teaming up for the Race of Champions in Sydney, Australia, in March 2025. These two friends, who used to race in Formula 1, will represent Germany as a ‘super team’.

In the ROC Nations Cup on day one, Vettel and Schumacher will compete together. Vettel has a history of success in this event, having won it multiple times with Michael Schumacher from 2007 to 2012. He also claimed victory in the individual tournament in London in 2015. In 2023, Vettel and Mick came close to winning but finished second.

What is the Race of Champions?

The Race of Champions is an annual event where drivers from various racing backgrounds compete using identical cars under different conditions. The first day features the ROC Nations Cup, where country teams face off, followed by individual races on the second day. Vettel is thrilled to partner with Schumacher again.

“I’m delighted to be coming back to the Race Of Champions and teaming up with Mick again,” Vettel shared enthusiastically. “It will be exciting to race in the former Olympic Stadium in Sydney that looks like it will be a great venue for the Race Of Champions.” Mick shares this excitement.

“Australia is one of my favourite places,” Mick said. “Representing Germany together with Sebastian at ROC Sydney will for sure be big fun.” He added that after their near wins in Sweden and Mexico, they aim for the top prize this time around.

Fans might think it’s awesome to see these two back together again.

The 2024 Race of Champions was canceled due to uncertainties in Sweden but returns stronger than ever in 2025. It’s set for March 7th and 8th in Sydney. Motorsport enthusiasts will stay tuned to Australia as the Formula 1 season kicks off there just a week later. Big names like David Coulthard and Juan Pablo Montoya have graced this event before.
