Max Verstappen‘s GT3 merch flying off shelves after Nordschleife win
The special merchandise created for Max Verstappen’s GT3 debut at the Nordschleife has become a massive hit with fans.
Verstappen.com set up a special trailer in the Nürburgring paddock to sell the exclusive collection, which is also available online.
The merchandise is selling incredibly well at the German track. Thousands of fans—both Germans and Dutch supporters who made the trip to the Eifel region—have been lining up to grab something from the collection.
Online sales tell the same story. The t-shirt is nearly sold out, with only sizes L and XXXL still available. The hoodie has been even more popular, with just size M left in stock.
If you’re at the circuit, you’re in luck. There’s still plenty available at the Nürburgring trailer for those attending in person.
The “For the Love of Racing” collection launched Wednesday, coinciding with the announcement that the four-time F1 world champion would be competing at the famous track.
And what a debut it was! Verstappen, alongside teammate Chris Lulham, claimed victory in his first-ever GT3 class race today.
Getting the merchandise ready was no small feat. Verstappen.com had just about a week to create the special collection after learning of Max’s participation, sources told GPblog.
This kind of merchandise presence is typically reserved for F1 races with huge Dutch followings, like the Grand Prix weekends in Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The timing couldn’t have been better. After initially testing under the pseudonym “Franz Hermann” a few weeks ago, Verstappen returned to the ‘Green Hell’ under his real name—and his merchandise stand came along for the ride.
For the Dutch driver, it’s back-to-back victories on consecutive weekends. After dominating the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix last weekend, he’s now conquered one of racing’s most challenging circuits in a completely different category.
What will Verstappen tackle next? At this rate, nothing seems impossible for the racing superstar.
