Verstappen’s Statement

Max Verstappen hinted he might leave Formula 1 early during the Singapore Grand Prix.

He was upset after getting a community service penalty for swearing at a press conference, which led to protests from him all weekend.

Before the race, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem said F1 needs less swearing. But just hours later, Verstappen swore in a press conference and got penalized. Many drivers, including Verstappen, were not happy with this decision.

Verstappen bluntly answered questions in Saturday’s press conference after qualifying and did the same on Sunday after the race. He said he would speak to the media outside of FIA press conferences from now on.

Verstappen will realise “when it is enough”

Outside the press conference, Verstappen suggested that if penalties like this continue, he might leave F1 sooner: “I mean, I don’t know how serious they will take that kind of stuff. But for me, of course, at one point, when it’s enough, it’s enough. And we’ll see. I mean, like I said, the racing will go on. F1 will go on, also without me. It’s not a problem. It’s also not a problem for me. So it’s how it is.”

This isn’t the first time he’s talked about leaving earlier than expected. After this frustrating weekend, he reiterated: “I will always be myself. I will not, because of that, change how I am in my life anyway, but also how I’m operating here.”

Fans might think this news is quite shocking.

Sometimes life throws curveballs .

Do you think Verstappen should stay or go?
