Verstappen’s Championship Remains Secure with Consistent Performance

The Formula One season is heating up with just six races left, and the battle for the championship is intense. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris are going head-to-head at the Circuit of the Americas, where Norris is determined to catch up to Verstappen. Mika Hakkinen, a former world champion, believes Verstappen has an edge if he keeps doing one crucial thing.

Hakkinen shared his thoughts: “It’s going to continue to be the battle between Max Verstappen’s Red Bull and the McLaren of Lando Norris that everyone is watching for. Max has won here for the past three years but the McLaren looks stronger and more consistent at the moment and Lando is going to try and close the gap in the World Championship for Drivers.”

Hakkinen’s Insight: ‘Verstappen Secure If…’

Hakkinen thinks Verstappen will stay safe in the title race as long as he finishes on the podium regularly. He pointed out that Ferrari could snatch victories and points from McLaren, making it a tight competition. “The one thing Max cannot afford is a non-finish,” Hakkinen emphasized.

Since winning in Spain, Verstappen hasn’t claimed another victory. In four races after summer, he reached the podium twice but was behind Norris each time. The standings show a 52-point gap between them. Red Bull plans to bring updates this weekend to solve their past problems.

Fans might wonder if this will be enough for Verstappen to maintain his lead.

What do you think? Can Verstappen hold onto his advantage, or will Norris catch up?
