Max Verstappen is kicking back and enjoying some well-deserved time off in Brazil after his grueling F1 season. The four-time world champion has jetted off to Rio de Janeiro with his partner Kelly Piquet and her family.
“I really need it,” Verstappen admitted on the Talking Bull podcast when discussing his holiday plans. “So, first Christmas together, then on holiday with some good friends as well. I’m really looking forward to that.”
This isn’t his first visit to Brazil. The couple previously traveled there for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, but this time it’s all about relaxation.
Nascar driver Daniel Suarez, who’s married to Kelly’s sister Julia, has been sharing glimpses of their vacation on Instagram.
One video shows Verstappen showing off some unexpected athletic skills on the volleyball court, even scoring a point. Turns out the racing champion has game outside the cockpit too!
## Verstappen’s cheeky Christmas gift
Kelly also revealed a hilarious Christmas present the Dutch driver received this year.
The special shirt features an image inspired by his Las Vegas Grand Prix victory – Verstappen holding up his middle finger while clutching his trophy and wearing those ridiculous Las Vegas podium glasses. It perfectly captures his rebellious personality that fans have come to love.
