Max Verstappen recently faced tough race weekends in Italy and Azerbaijan. Now, the F1 season moves to Singapore, a track where Red Bull didn’t win last year.
Verstappen’s expectations for Singapore GP
When asked about his thoughts on Singapore, Verstappen responded cautiously. “I don’t know. Let’s see. Let’s wait and see,” he said. He mentioned they are working on optimizing the setup to understand what went wrong in Baku. “Of course, I don’t think it will be our best circuit. But we will see. It could surprise us.”
In another chat with Viaplay, Verstappen elaborated on the challenges at Marina Bay Street Circuit. “We try to optimise the setup to understand what we did wrong here. I don’t think it’s going to be our best track, naturally. But we’ll see. It might surprise us,” said the three-time world champion.
The Singapore GP is unique because it’s the only race on the current calendar that Verstappen hasn’t won yet, although he’s been on the podium twice there before. His teammate Sergio Perez managed to win in Singapore back in 2022.
Fans might wonder if this could finally be Verstappen’s year to conquer Singapore .
What do you think? Will Verstappen finally win in Singapore?
