Max Verstappen will begin the Belgian Grand Prix from the back of the grid.
Red Bull has decided to change his car’s combustion engine, resulting in a 10-spot grid penalty.
Verstappen and Red Bull Face Grid Penalty
This penalty wasn’t unexpected. Drivers are allowed four combustion engines per season, and using a fifth one means a grid penalty. Verstappen quickly used up his engines, so it was just a matter of time before this happened.
Spa-Francorchamps is actually a good place to take this penalty because it’s easier to overtake there. This could help Verstappen move up from the back to the front. Last year, he went from 14th place to first on this track! But fans might wonder if the competition will be tougher this time around.
What do you think about Verstappen’s chances?
