Max Verstappen just pulled off something incredible at the Brazilian Grand Prix that’s got everyone talking. Starting way back in 17th place in terrible weather, he fought his way to the front and won the whole thing.
It’s the kind of drive that reminds racing fans of legends like Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna.
The win couldn’t have come at a better time. While Verstappen’s been leading the championship all year, Lando Norris has been pushing him hard lately. The two have been trading wins and positions all season, but this victory in Brazil pretty much locked up Verstappen’s fourth world title.
Racing in the rain? That’s where Verstappen really shines.
“I think in the wet and the dry, he’s the best in the world at the moment,” says Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.
The team’s had some tough moments this year, but they never gave up. “We’ve fought ourselves back into a winning position,” Horner explains. “That’s a testament to the effort that goes on behind the scenes back in Milton Keynes.”
Just how valuable is Verstappen to Red Bull? According to Horner, you can’t put a price on it.
“That was a champion’s drive,” he says. “There are some great drivers out there, but to stand out and shine like that today marks him out with some of the greats.”
What’s really impressed everyone is how Verstappen’s handled the tough times this season. Even when the car wasn’t perfect, he kept pushing, kept scoring points, kept fighting.
“He’s never given up,” Horner says. “He’s always trying to get maximum out of the car.”
It’s the kind of performance that doesn’t just win races – it builds legacies.
