Verstappen Criticizes Current Situation: ‘This Isn’t Right’

Max Verstappen wasn’t thrilled after the Mexican Grand Prix qualifying, despite doing better than he thought. He told Viaplay that his car still needs more speed.

“Better than I expected,” he said. “I thought starting from the second row would be good after the third practice. Somehow, it went a bit better, but it’s not quite right compared to others. We did our best though.”

Red Bull’s Struggles in Mexico:

Verstappen talked about where improvements are needed. He feels comfortable in the car, but it lacks speed, especially over kerbs and in slow corners. This has always been a problem.

During qualifying, Verstappen lost his first lap because he crossed track limits, adding pressure. “Yes, that’s true,” he admitted. “It’s not nice, but if it works out, it’s fine.” Fans might think he’s lucky in these situations.

When people say he often wins in tough spots, Max replied: “Sometimes you need a bit of luck. I’ve had times here in Mexico when things looked good but then went wrong at the last minute. You learn from those moments and get better with experience.”

What do you think about Max’s chances next time?
