VCARB Racing Announces Official 2025 F1 Team Name

The Red Bull sister team is getting yet another name change, putting an end to months of confusion among F1 fans and media.

Starting in 2025, they’ll be known as Visa Cash App Racing Bulls. It’s a mouthful, but at least it’s clear.

The team, which has gone through several identity changes, had been struggling with their current name – Visa Cash App RB – since adopting it in January.

"We’ve been struggling to make it clear to people what the team name is," admits Peter Bayer, the team’s CEO. "We’ve seen so many versions."

It’s no wonder people were confused. Some called them Racing Bulls, others stuck with their old AlphaTauri name, and plenty weren’t sure what the "RB" even stood for.

The whole rebranding process was a bit rushed, happening in just a few weeks at the start of 2024.

What’s interesting is that "Racing Bulls" was already the company’s official name behind the scenes. Media outlets in Germany, Austria, Italy, and France had naturally gravitated toward using it.

The Faenza-based team, which currently fields Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, will keep VCARB as their abbreviation.

At least now everyone can finally be on the same page about what to call Red Bull’s sister team – even if it might take a few tries to say it right.
