Yuki Tsunoda feels for Daniel Ricciardo amid rumors about the Australian’s future.
Tsunoda brushed off questions about who will be his teammate at the Singapore Grand Prix, saying he doesn’t know and it’s not up to him.
What Does Tsunoda Think About Ricciardo?
When asked about Ricciardo, Tsunoda mentioned that he respects him a lot. He admires Ricciardo’s emotional control and consistency, qualities Tsunoda feels he lacks. “The things he has are the things I don’t have,” Tsunoda said, noting that Ricciardo is good at staying calm and consistent for the team.
Tsunoda also admitted that if he has a bad session, his feedback might not be as good. In contrast, Ricciardo stays steady and understands what helps the team. “I learned a lot of things from him, and I’m still learning,” Tsunoda added.

Ricciardo came back to Red Bull Racing’s sister team in 2023, replacing Nyck de Vries. However, he’s been struggling compared to Tsunoda and currently trails behind in the World Championship points.
