Discussions sparked when Kyle Larson claimed he is a better all-around driver than Max Verstappen.
His performance in the NASCAR playoffs at Atlanta didn’t support his bold statement.
Better than Verstappen? Larson’s Crash in NASCAR Playoffs
Last Sunday, Larson couldn’t back up his words with a strong race. Near the end of the Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he lost control of his car, hit the wall at high speed, and then collided with Chase Briscoe. This resulted in both drivers starting the playoffs poorly.
Afterwards, Larson expressed confusion about what caused him to lose control. “There was no warning at all. It just caught me way off guard. I was never once, even in that same corner, like loose. It just started stepping out and I overcorrected,” he told Nascar.com.
Fans might think it’s funny how confident he was before the crash.
