Top Candidate for Alpine’s 2025 Driver: Gasly Reveals His Preferred Choice!

Pierre Gasly doesn’t need to worry about his contract anymore.

During the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, it was revealed that Gasly and Alpine decided to extend their partnership. But there’s still a mystery: who will be his new teammate? With Esteban Ocon leaving, several drivers are in line for the spot.

Who Will Join Alpine?

Jack Doohan, currently a reserve driver, and Mick Schumacher have been considered for some time. Recently, Carlos Sainz joined the list after Flavio Briatore took on an advisory role at Alpine. The team could go with either young talent or a seasoned winner.

When asked which of these three he preferred as a teammate next season, Gasly said, “Honestly at the end of the day, I’ll be happy no matter what.” He added that he wants someone competitive to push him and the team forward. Fans might think this is very diplomatic of him.

Gasly noted that Carlos has more experience from his time with McLaren and Ferrari. “Obviously he’s got slightly more to bring and that’d be obviously the best option,” he said. But he also praised Jack and Mick for being talented and fast. They already know the team well and would fit in easily .

What do you think? Who should join Alpine next?
