Max Verstappen‘s latest Twitch stream turned into an adorable family affair when he got some surprise visitors – including a special hug from Kelly Piquet’s daughter Penelope.
The three-time F1 champion, who’s known for jumping on Twitch to play games and sim race between Grand Prix weekends, was in the middle of streaming when little “P” dropped by to show some love.
It’s a sweet glimpse into Verstappen’s life away from the track, especially with some big changes coming soon. He and Kelly are expecting their first child together, due around February or March next year.
The Monaco-based couple has been quietly building quite the family menagerie too.
Their pet family now includes three cats – Jimmy, Sassy, and their newest addition Donatello, who joined right around the Las Vegas Grand Prix. And there’s one more furry friend in the mix: their adorable dachshund puppy, Nino, who made his own cameo appearance during the stream.
Nino’s debut on Verstappen’s Twitch channel got fans excited, with the tiny pup stealing the show for a moment from the F1 superstar.
It’s a far cry from the intense focus we usually see from Verstappen on race weekends, showing a more relaxed side of the Dutch champion as he balances gaming sessions with family time.
Penelope, who fans often hear Verstappen affectionately call “P,” will soon step into the role of big sister when her mom Kelly welcomes her new baby with Max. While they haven’t shared the baby’s gender yet, there’s plenty of excitement building in the Verstappen-Piquet household.
