The McLaren team boss was asked when the team will aim for both the constructors’ and drivers’ titles.
After the Italian Grand Prix, Andrea Stella finally addressed this, although he doesn’t see Red Bull Racing’s situation as dire as Max Verstappen describes.
Stella: ‘Max can not only drive well, but also talk well’
Verstappen criticized the RB20 after finishing sixth, calling it a “monster” and doubting their chances for world titles right now. Stella chuckled when he heard these comments. “Max is good even with his tongue. He’s not only good on track,” said Stella. He acknowledged that Verstappen faces challenges with his car but sees this as an opportunity for McLaren to capitalize on Red Bull’s current struggles.
Stella believes it’s crucial to analyze every detail of races, especially the first laps. “We need to be ready for these situations often in the future,” he said. He emphasized that starting at the front is vital for both the team and Lando.
