Stella Prepares McLaren for Red Bull Showdown

McLaren’s Andrea Stella says his team is more driven after the crash between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in Austria. McLaren and Norris are now focused on winning at Silverstone.

In the first two races of the triple header, McLaren showed they could compete with Red Bull. They almost won both times but ended up losing. In Spain, Norris got pole position but felt a better start could have led to victory. A week later in Austria, he was chasing Verstappen when they collided while fighting for the lead.

Team Spirit and Challenges:

Stella mentioned that despite difficulties, there are many positives to take away from recent races. “We come to the final round of this triple header more motivated and more resilient than we came into it,” he said.

He also noted that being at the front is great, but every weekend will be tough because competitors are strong. He praised his drivers and team members for their consistent performance both on track and back in Woking.

Silverstone holds a special place for McLaren because of the amazing fans and many team members attending with friends and family. “Our home Grand Prix at Silverstone is always special for us,” Stella concluded.

Verstappen and Norris have shared front-row starts in Spain and Austria, including P1 and P2 for the sprint race. With Silverstone favoring both McLaren and Red Bull cars, another exciting battle is expected this weekend. Last year, Norris took an early lead over Verstappen but finished second; he’s eager to win again at home after his first Formula 1 victory in Miami 2024 .

Fans might think it’s going to be a nail-biting race this weekend!
