Sky Sports F1 made a big mistake by airing a clip with a swear word during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.
Ted Kravitz was in the pitlane talking about Ferrari’s car upgrades when he messed up his words and said "f***ing hell." Sky Sports quickly cut back to the main presenter.
Awkward time for a swearing blunder
This happened just after the FIA president suggested less swearing on team radios. Max Verstappen didn’t like this idea and even swore during a press conference, calling his car "f***ed" after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He got a penalty for it.
When Kravitz came back on live TV, he apologized for the slip-up. He explained that it was an out-take and not meant for broadcast.
"Big apologies. Apologies from my side. Just to let you know we’re live now. When the cars come out for the car presentation, which we recorded earlier, I seek perfection but sometimes I don’t get it. If I mess up a first take, and then I’m frustrated at myself. Sometimes there’s a naughty word that comes out," Kravitz said.
“Obviously that was never meant to be played. That’s our mistake, so we’re owning that. I apologise that that take which was not meant to be played, it got played out. We seek to do better next time," he concluded.
Fans might think this is just part of live TV’s unpredictability .
