Jack Doohan and Mick Schumacher are top contenders for the open seat at Alpine next year. Esteban Ocon is leaving the team after this season, so there’s a spot up for grabs. Both Doohan and Schumacher want to race in the premier motorsport class by 2025. Wolff was very impressed with Schumacher’s performance during the test.

“As far as I know from Alpine it was a super test,” said Wolff to Sky Sports Germany. “He really delivered, I am also happy about that. That’s the message I got. They are super happy, but that was to be expected,” he added.

Bruno Famin mentioned in the UK that both Doohan and Schumacher are potential teammates for Pierre Gasly in the future.

Fans might think this news means exciting times ahead for Alpine!
