Carlos Sainz had a rough second practice session. After Nico Hulkenberg crashed at turn one in Zandvoort, the red flag came out, and Sainz’s day ended early too.
He told his team on the radio about a problem with the gearbox. “Check the gearbox. There is something with the gearbox. It stayed in seventh gear,” he said before heading to the pits. Soon after, it was confirmed that he wouldn’t be back on track.
