Carlos Sainz has snagged four Grand Prix wins in Formula One. In 2023, he triumphed at the Singapore GP, marking the only race that year where a Red Bull driver didn’t take first place. That victory still fills him with pride.
Sainz’s journey to these victories began at the 2022 British GP. Fast forward a year, and he claimed another win in Singapore. By 2024, he added Melbourne and Mexico City to his list of triumphs.
Reflections on Memorable Wins:
In a chat with Auto, Motor und Sport, Sainz shared which win stood out most for him. “It has more to do with the situation in which they were achieved. The first victory at Silverstone is of course forever the most emotional. But Singapore also meant a lot to me because of the state Formula 1 was in with Verstappen’s dominance. There was only one chance to win a race,” he began.
Reflecting further, Sainz said Australia held special significance due to battling appendicitis right before and Hamilton’s announcement looming just a month away. “My whole family was there in Mexico,” he added, noting it might have been his last chance to clinch a win for Ferrari. Each win holds its own special meaning, and he’s proud of all four victories.
Fans might think that each of these victories tells an exciting story about overcoming challenges.
Before making his move to Williams in 2025, Sainz will race his last three Grands Prix for Ferrari, starting with Las Vegas next weekend.
