Visa Cash App RB has been holding onto sixth place in the Constructors’ championship recently.
Nico Hulkenberg‘s sixth-place finishes in Austria and Britain have kept the gap with Haas F1 at just four points. Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo are looking forward to pushing ahead next weekend in Hungary.
Yuki Tsunoda shared his thoughts: “I spent time in the simulator last week, and the team has been working very hard since Silverstone. I am optimistic that we can have a good weekend in Hungary. We know which direction we must take to find more performance from the car at the Hungaroring, where most corners are slow to medium speed.”
This weekend is expected to be scorching hot in Budapest, Hungary’s capital city. Tsunoda added, “It’s always very hot in Budapest at this time of year and the track gives you no time to pause for breath as you are always turning the wheel. It means it’s going to be a physically tough weekend, but I expect we can be competitive at this track, so I’m ready for it!”
Ricciardo aims for top-ten
Daniel Ricciardo is also gearing up alongside his teammate. After a week off following a triple-header, he feels rejuvenated. “Personally, I always enjoy coming here. I’ve won in Hungary before; it was my comeback race with Scuderia AlphaTauri and somehow the sun is always out!”
He continued by saying that their focus as a team is on maximizing performance on this unique circuit compared to Silverstone—much slower and hotter. “Having a strong FP1 and pushing forward to some points come Sunday,” concluded Ricciardo from Perth.
Fans might think it’s exciting how confident both drivers sound about their chances this weekend.
So what do you think? Will they manage to push ahead or will Haas F1 catch up?
