Red Bull Mechanic Debunks Conspiracy Theory: ‘I Built This Car’ Explained

Peter Windsor is facing criticism from Calum Nicholas over his recent claims.

Windsor suggested that Red Bull used an illegal part earlier this year, a claim already debunked by the FIA and Red Bull.

Reports of ‘Illegal Solution’ at Red Bull Previously Debunked:

During the Hungarian Grand Prix, a wild rumor spread. An F1 commentator tweeted that two teams told him the FIA had ordered Red Bull to change some parts because they were illegal. This was supposedly why the RB20’s performance dropped. The commentator even claimed the FIA confirmed it.

After checking with both the FIA and Red Bull, it turned out to be false. The tweet was deleted soon after. But now, Peter Windsor says on X that Red Bull "might have been using a clever rear cross-brake inertia valve" until they had to remove it before the Miami GP. He thinks this could explain Max’s brake issues in Melbourne and his struggles since China.

Red Bull Mechanic Shrugs Off ‘Conspiracy Theory’ Windsor:

Many people reacted, including Calum Nicholas from Red Bull. "Yea… this is bull****… Unsurprisingly," he said sarcastically. Nicholas believes other teams deserve more credit for catching up. "Not everything has to be some big conspiracy," he added. When Craig Scarborough supported Windsor’s theory, Nicholas replied, "I’ve been building the car for the last 14 races, he hasn’t."

Fans might think these rumors are just distractions from real racing.

Yea… this is bullshit…. Unsurprisingly
