Red Bull Junior Team Driver Lindblad Causes Red Flag After Car Stoppage

Lindblad’s Racing Bulls Causes Red Flag in Barcelona Test

Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad brought out the red flag during Wednesday’s Barcelona pre-season testing when his car unexpectedly stopped on track.

The British rookie was getting valuable seat time in the VCARB03 during the afternoon session when the incident occurred.

Track officials needed to bring out a crane to recover the stranded vehicle and return it to the garage.

The team hasn’t revealed what caused the stoppage.

This marked the third red flag of the day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where teams continue crucial preparation for the upcoming season.

Racing Bulls had actually posted on social media earlier about Lindblad successfully returning to track for the afternoon running.

Despite the setback, Lindblad managed to get back out on circuit after the team resolved whatever issues plagued the car.

Red Bull Racing isn’t participating in today’s session following Isack Hadjar’s crash yesterday that damaged their car.

The Barcelona test represents a critical opportunity for teams to gather data and for rookies like Lindblad to gain experience in Formula 1 machinery before the season begins in earnest.
