The Christian Horner saga isn’t over yet. The Red Bull Racing employee who accused him of inappropriate behavior last year has now taken her case to a UK employment tribunal, according to De Telegraaf.
British media outlets have been silenced on the matter.
GPblog can confirm the employee has followed through on her earlier considerations to pursue legal action. The case will be heard by the employment tribunal in January 2026.
These tribunals specifically handle workplace disputes between employers and their staff.
Why aren’t British news outlets covering this development? It’s due to a Reporting Restriction Order.
The RRO was requested by Horner’s team and approved by the court. This effectively blocks all UK media from reporting any new developments in the case until the order is lifted.
This is a common legal measure in the UK for sensitive cases involving public figures.
The controversy first erupted in February 2024 when news broke that Red Bull had hired an independent lawyer to investigate allegations against Horner. The team boss has consistently denied all accusations.
Later that month, Horner was cleared of wrongdoing, after which the employee who made the accusations was suspended.
She appealed the ruling, triggering a second investigation.
That second investigation also resulted in Horner being acquitted.
Now, nearly two years will pass before the case is heard in the employment tribunal, keeping this cloud hanging over both Red Bull Racing and its team principal for the foreseeable future.
