Christian Horner eyeing F1 comeback, Cadillac rumors swirl
Things have been unusually quiet around Christian Horner lately. The former Red Bull Racing boss has only popped up in the occasional holiday picture on Instagram since his firing, keeping a low profile while details of his severance package are still being worked out.
He’s no longer officially a director at Red Bull Racing.
Behind the scenes, Horner is likely already planning his next career move. And it looks like he might be aiming to stay in Formula 1.
According to Auto, Motor und Sport, there’s already some buzz about his future. The German publication reports that rumors are floating around the F1 paddock suggesting Cadillac might be interested in bringing Horner aboard.
They can’t confirm if these rumors are true, though.
It’s worth noting that Cadillac already has Graeme Lowdon as team boss. The British executive is currently building up the American team that’s set to join the F1 grid in 2026.
If Cadillac really is eyeing Horner, they’re probably considering him for a different role than team boss.
This isn’t the first time Horner’s name has been linked to another team since his Red Bull exit. Ferrari was mentioned as a possibility not long ago, but that door closed when Fred Vasseur extended his contract with the Italian team.
For now, Horner’s return to Formula 1 might not be immediately possible – especially with the still-developing Cadillac F1 team. But in the fast-changing world of F1, you never know what might happen next.
