Red Bull Ambassador Refutes Viral Social Media Hoax

Former Red Bull mechanic Calum Nicholas had to clear up a weird rumor that spread online about his supposed death.

“To the disappointment of many, I’m sure, I am very much still alive,” Nicholas wrote on social media.

The Red Bull ambassador said he’d gotten messages from several people who thought he had died after seeing a Facebook post claiming so.

He decided to set things straight on X: “This is an odd thing to have to tweet. I woke up this morning to a few messages from people who’d seen a Facebook post claiming I had died.”

“This is factually incorrect. To the disappointment of many, I’m sure, I am very much still alive (at least, physically).”

He couldn’t resist adding a joke: “I am going skiing today though, so there’s hope for you yet. Have a great day. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.”

## What it’s like working with Max Verstappen

Nicholas, who stepped away from his hands-on garage role at Red Bull last season to become a team ambassador, had nothing but praise for the Dutch champion.

He pointed to the 2023 season as a perfect example. That year, Verstappen drove the incredible RB19—often called the most dominant car F1 has ever seen—to an amazing 19 race wins.

The Dutchman consistently pushed the car to its absolute limit throughout the season.
