Piastri Responds to Lando Norris Question on Australian TV

Oscar Piastri Opens Up About Relationship With Champion Teammate Norris

“He’s good. We get on well. We work together well,” said McLaren driver Oscar Piastri when asked about his teammate Lando Norris during a visit to The Ashes cricket series in Australia.

The Aussie driver was put on the spot by a Channel 7 reporter who asked directly: “Now, it’s just you and me. Is Lando a mate of yours? Good bloke?”

Piastri answered with a smile before adding, “But yeah, I think we’re going to be battling each other hopefully for championships for many years to come.”

The young driver led the standings for much of the season but ended up finishing third overall after hitting a rough patch following the Italian Grand Prix.

Norris, meanwhile, went on to claim the championship.

Piastri has been enjoying the off-season back home in Australia, where he attended the Melbourne cricket test as a fan of the sport.

Australian media hasn’t been shy about supporting their home-grown F1 talent throughout the season. They’ve stood firmly behind Piastri, especially after the Italian Grand Prix when tensions at McLaren seemed to rise.

Some local outlets even took direct shots at the team. In one notable segment, a presenter wrapped up with: “Let’s hope Oscar can do it next year… if McLaren don’t work against him.”

The relationship between the two McLaren drivers will be one to watch in the upcoming season as both have shown they have championship-level talent.
