Piastri Exploits Norris’ Weakness: ‘Advantageous for Me’

Lando Norris grabbed pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, but Max Verstappen is right behind him, and Oscar Piastri missed out on the front row.

In a press conference, Norris and Piastri talked about team orders. They said they are free to race each other but must avoid crashing.

Will Piastri Make Life Easier for McLaren?

Norris has had trouble at the start of recent races, often losing places even when he started from pole, like in Hungary. Piastri plans to focus on this.

“If I can get myself into the lead then that works well for me. The start is always a good opportunity to make up ground,” Piastri said. He knows this might make things tougher for McLaren.

“Obviously, I want to finish as high as I can, and if I can get into second then obviously that makes life a little bit more straightforward for the team. I’m not going to do anything specific to try and make that happen. I want to try and win the race myself, and let’s see what I can try and do,” Piastri concluded.

Fans might wonder if this strategy will work out in McLaren’s favor.
