Perez to Ferrari? Latest F1 Transfer Rumors

Sergio Perez to Ferrari? Not so fast – here’s what’s really going on.

Recent buzz from Spanish outlet MARCA had racing fans doing a double take: Checo Perez was supposedly in talks with Ferrari. But not for Formula 1 – for their endurance racing team that’s been crushing it at Le Mans.

It’s a pretty wild claim, especially since Perez is still very much in the F1 picture.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner just talked about Perez taking “a sabbatical” after F1. Would he really jump straight into another racing series?

Checo’s dad isn’t buying it either. Antonio Perez Garibay insists his son won’t race anywhere but F1 – and only for a top team at that. Though it’s worth noting Dad’s track record with predictions isn’t exactly perfect.

But here’s the real kicker: Ferrari’s already got their endurance racing lineup locked in for 2025.

Their winning combo of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen will keep racing car #50. And in #51, they’re sticking with James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi and Alessandro Pier Guidi. These guys just won Le Mans – twice. Ferrari’s not looking to fix what isn’t broken.

Even Ferrari’s partner team AF Corse is full up. They’ve already signed Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson for next year.

So while the idea of Perez in Ferrari red might sound exciting, this rumor seems more like wishful thinking than reality.
