Perez Crashes in Q1, Faces Another Disastrous Weekend

Sergio Perez is feeling the heat at Red Bull Racing.

During Q1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix, he crashed his RB20 after losing control.

Perez’s Struggles in Hungary

Perez looked strong during practice sessions at Hungaroring. But in qualifying, things went south quickly. He skidded off the track and smashed into the wall, leaving his car badly damaged. Over the radio, Perez assured everyone he was okay physically but admitted it was a tough hit mentally.

Despite support from Max Verstappen and Christian Horner, the pressure on Perez is evident. Helmut Marko mentioned that Red Bull would review their options over the summer break, making Hungary and Belgium key races for Perez to perform well. Unfortunately, his weekend in Hungary started poorly, similar to his early exit in Q1 at Silverstone due to another mistake.

Fans might think this crash adds more stress on him.
