Perez Boosts Red Bull’s Hopes in Singapore: Confident in Handling the Package

Sergio Perez believes Red Bull Racing can secure a podium in the Singapore Grand Prix.

After his strong performance in Baku, despite a late crash, Perez is confident in the car’s capabilities and aims to win again in Singapore.

Perez’s RB20 setup worked well, unlike Verstappen’s, which was evident from his pace during qualifying and the race. Starting from the second row, he was on track for a podium finish until an unfortunate collision with Sainz.

“It was such a shame in Baku for the whole Team, so much hard work had gone into getting a more competitive car on track for us and it was really showing,” Perez reflected on the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He was quick all weekend and seemed poised to add more points to his record at the Baku City Circuit.

Perez aims for a podium or even victory in Singapore

Encouraged by his speed in Baku, Perez hopes to carry that momentum to Singapore’s Marina Bay Street Circuit. “We had the pace all weekend and now it’s about converting that pace into a podium in Singapore. The car has shown it’s capable with this package, so we need to get the set-up right across the weekend and execute our qualifying and race plan perfectly,” he added.

Known for excelling at street circuits, Perez is excited about another one this weekend. “I’ve won in Singapore before, in tricky conditions and, as everyone knows, I love a street circuit; there’s something special about a night race and this one is probably the best there is. On Sunday night I want us to be able to say we did the best we could to win this race and that’s what our full focus will be on from the moment we start work in Singapore,” Perez said.

Fans might think it’s thrilling to see how Perez performs under these circumstances.

The anticipation builds as we wait to see if Perez can turn his confidence into another victory. What do you think? Will he make it?
