Norris Secures Pole Position as Verstappen Delivers Scathing F1 Assessment

Lando Norris faces what’ll likely be a chaotic rush into Turn 1 when the lights go out tomorrow.

The McLaren driver won’t have his championship rivals breathing down his neck at the start. Instead, it’s Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who lines up alongside him on the front row.

Lewis Hamilton secured third, marking a welcome return to the sharp end of the grid for the Mercedes driver.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been up here,” Hamilton admitted, clearly relieved to be back in contention.

Max Verstappen could only manage fifth in qualifying. The Red Bull champion didn’t mince words after the session, offering a pretty grim assessment of his chances.
