Lando Norris faces an uphill battle in the championship fight after a tough weekend in Sao Paulo, with Max Verstappen‘s lead now stretching to 62 points.
The rain-soaked Brazilian Grand Prix saw Verstappen extend his advantage, putting him in position to potentially clinch the title in the upcoming US race.
But Norris isn’t backing down. The McLaren star has been putting in the hours at the team’s technology center in Woking, getting ready for what promises to be an intense final three races of the season.
"Everyone’s motivated and ready to give it our all in the fight for both Championships," Norris said after spending time in the simulator with his engineers.
The next battle? Las Vegas. It’s a race that’s got everyone talking – F1 cars racing down the famous Strip under the bright lights of Sin City.
"Driving along the Strip is really cool," Norris said. "I can’t wait to see what we can do this weekend in the MCL38. We’ve had a good car this year and the field is incredibly strong."
His teammate Oscar Piastri has his own goals for the final stretch. The young Australian already has two wins under his belt this season, but he’s hungry for more.
"The aim is to push all the way for more wins and podiums before the season is out," Piastri said. "There’s a lot of hard work and determination within the team."
McLaren’s looking strong in the Constructor’s Championship too, and they’re determined to hold onto their position as the season enters its final phase.
With three races to go and everything still to play for, the stage is set for an epic conclusion to what’s been a remarkable F1 season.
