New Unusual Addition to Las Vegas Grand Prix Paddock

The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix marked Formula 1’s return to the city after 41 years, with this year’s race set for November 21-23.

Next year’s event will feature some exciting changes, including a support race and a unique new addition to the paddock area.

Ferrari Challenge Support Race:

The Ferrari Challenge will join the Las Vegas Grand Prix as a support race. Last year, there were no support races, and issues like drain covers caused delays, affecting drivers like Carlos Sainz. “We’re adding Ferrari Challenge. So that will be coming, we’re super excited about it,” said Emily Prazer. She added that logistics were the main concern last year.

Fans can likely watch the Ferrari Challenge for free on YouTube. “Ferrari also brings a crowd that loves Las Vegas as you’d expect. So it’s a natural one for us to go after, and they’ve been incredible partners,” Prazer continued.

In addition to the Ferrari Challenge, free tickets to an ‘F1 festival’ for Friday and Saturday have been snapped up quickly, with 30,000 already claimed. “Tickets are taken, it’s a capacity of 30,000 per day,” Prazer explained. People flood Vegas during major events anyway, so this aims to keep the city bustling even if not everyone attends the Grand Prix.

Last year saw all 20 drivers at F1’s Wednesday launch event in Vegas, featuring musical acts. This year, more on-track action means less focus on such shows.

Bizarre Paddock Ice Rink:

A surprising addition is an ice rink on top of the paddock club roof in the Nevada desert. “So we’re putting an ice rink on the roof of the Paddock Club in Vegas this year,” Prazer said. This unusual feature aims to enhance entertainment off-track.

The Ferrari Challenge promises exciting racing action on track. The ice rink might be a first for any Formula 1 paddock but fits perfectly with Las Vegas’ flair for unique experiences .

Fans might think these changes make the event even more thrilling.
