Mercedes W16 F1 Car Revealed: Russell & Antonelli’s 2024 Challenger

Mercedes just unveiled their actual 2025 F1 car, weeks after showing off its new paint job at a London event. This is the real deal – the machine that’ll be hitting the track next season.

The timing couldn’t be better. Formula 1’s winter testing kicks off next Wednesday in Bahrain, giving teams their first real chance to see what they’ve built.

Drivers won’t get much practice time though. They’ll each get just a day and a half to figure out their new rides before the championship starts in Melbourne.

It’s a big year for Mercedes. The team that dominated F1 for nearly a decade is facing perhaps its biggest challenge yet.

Since jumping back into F1 in 2010 after buying Brawn GP, Mercedes has been pretty unstoppable. We’re talking about some incredible numbers:
• 8 constructors’ championships
• 9 drivers’ titles
• 128 race wins
• 139 pole positions
• 109 fastest laps

But now they’re entering a new era. Lewis Hamilton, who brought home most of those trophies, is off to Ferrari. In his place? An 18-year-old wonderkid named Kimi Antonelli, who many think could be F1’s next big star.

Antonelli will team up with George Russell, creating one of the most exciting – and youngest – driver partnerships on the grid.

The pressure’s on for this new Mercedes machine. After two tough years playing catch-up to Red Bull, the team’s hoping their W16 can bring them back to the front of the pack.

We’ll get our first real look at what it can do when testing begins next week in Bahrain.
