Mercedes’ Response to Crowdstrike IT Issues: What Happened

The world recently saw massive IT problems affecting big companies, and there were whispers that some F1 teams got caught up in it too.

One team rumored to be hit was Mercedes, with reports of their systems crashing and showing the ‘blue wall of death’. Andrew Shovlin talked about these issues during Friday’s press conference.

IT Issues Had Little Effect on Mercedes

Shovlin shared, “We’ve had great support from them and all our partners.” He mentioned that they did have some work to do because of the IT problems.

They needed to update many computers around the garage and pit walls. However, Shovlin said the impact on FP1 was very small or even non-existent. He assured everyone that despite the extra work, they are now back on track.

Fans might wonder if these IT issues will affect future races.

In a surprising twist, while dealing with tech troubles, engineers probably had a few laughs over old computer jokes!

So what do you think? Will Mercedes stay strong despite these hiccups?
