Leonardo Fornaroli led the standings before the race with 133 points, closely followed by Gabriele Mini with 130 points and Luke Browning with 128 points. Arvid Lindblad also had an outside chance with his 113 points.
Browning’s hopes were dashed early due to a mistake that sent him to the back of the grid, leaving him pointless. Fornaroli and Mini battled fiercely throughout the race. Near the end, Mansell overtook Fornaroli, jeopardizing his title chances. But in a dramatic twist at the final corner, Fornaroli reclaimed his position from Mansell.

Even though Mini finished ahead of Fornaroli, it wasn’t enough to surpass him in points. Thus, Fornaroli clinched the 2024 Formula 3 championship in a nail-biting finish.
