Max Verstappen’s Dog Name Revealed During Twitch Stream

Max Verstappen‘s family just got a bit bigger – this time with four legs and a wagging tail.

The Formula 1 champion, already known as quite the cat person, has welcomed a puppy named Nino to his growing household.

“Great, yes, his name is Nino,” Verstappen shared during a recent Twitch stream. He couldn’t help but laugh while adding, “but he’s gone for a while now. I put his food here, and then he wasn’t interested in me anymore.”

It’s been a busy few months for pet adoptions at the Verstappen home. Just this past November, he added a cat named Donatello to his family, joining his other two cats Jimmy and Sassy.

The house is getting pretty full these days. Besides the three cats and new puppy Nino, there’s Kelly Piquet’s daughter Penelope, and a baby on the way – Verstappen and his Brazilian partner are expecting their first child together.

But the F1 star isn’t taking much of a break. This weekend, he’s trading his real racing car for a virtual one.

Verstappen will be competing in the virtual 24 Hours of Daytona as part of Team Redline. Racing fans can catch all the sim racing action live on iRacing’s YouTube channel.

The virtual race gives fans a chance to see their favorite driver in action during F1’s off-season – just don’t expect any appearances from Nino in the background.
