Max Verstappen Reveals Winter Break Activities Before Grueling F1 Season

How Max Verstappen Recharged This Winter with Family Time in Brazil

Max Verstappen spent his winter break unwinding in Brazil with girlfriend Kelly Piquet and their family after a grueling F1 season.

“Besides just relaxing, yeah, just spending time with family,” Verstappen shared at the Red Bull launch event in Detroit.

The four-time world champion took full advantage of his time off, heading to Kelly’s home country to reconnect with loved ones.

“My family is from Brazil,” he explained, “you try to catch up, spend some holidays together whenever you can.”

Social media posts from Kelly showed the Dutch racing star enjoying beach time with his daughter and even playing some volleyball.

“We tried to also explore new places. And yeah, that’s going well,” Verstappen added.

It seems family time wasn’t just about relaxation, though.

Lily, Verstappen’s daughter, might be showing early signs of following in her father’s footsteps. During a Team Redline livestream, Verstappen revealed how interested she was in his sim racing setup.

“She keeps trying to grab the microphone,” he said. “She’s very interested in all the screens, the controller, the mouse — everything. She’s trying to touch it all.”

He laughed, adding: “Starting early!”

The family getaway clearly gave Verstappen the perfect balance of relaxation and quality time before heading into another demanding F1 season.
