Max Verstappen‘s got quite the wardrobe at home – and it’s all thanks to his winning ways in Formula 1.
The three-time world champion keeps every race suit he’s worn in his victories, which means he’s got 63 special suits hanging in his collection right now.
“If I win the race, I keep it,” Verstappen revealed during a recent Twitch stream while competing in the 24 Hours of Daytona sim race.
But those aren’t the only racing suits in his closet. F1 drivers get fresh gear pretty regularly throughout the season.
“We get quite a lot of new suits,” he explained. “I’m not exactly sure how many a year, but it’s a lot.”
The timing of new suit deliveries often depends on race conditions. Heavy rain or high humidity can take their toll on racing gear, forcing more frequent changes.
“You do take every three, four races, maybe you get new kit,” said Verstappen. “In general, it’s quite unlimited.”
It’s a pretty impressive collection that keeps growing with each victory. And given Verstappen’s dominant form lately, he might need to clear out some extra closet space soon.
The Dutch driver opened up about his collection while answering fan questions during the livestream, where he also chatted about his new dachshund and showed off his helmet design for the upcoming season.
