Max Verstappen has shared an Instagram photo featuring himself alongside two fellow Dutch superstars from completely different worlds. The F1 champ posed with Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk and DJ Martin Garrix in a new photo connected to their shared Heineken sponsorship.
It’s no secret that Verstappen and Garrix have been close friends for years. Even McLaren driver Lando Norris counts himself among the DJ’s good friends.
Earlier this year, Verstappen opened up about how his friendship with Garrix began.
“Martijn was supposed to present an award at the Sports Gala, but that completely fell apart because I was sitting in a taxi in England with the live connection constantly dropping,” he explained. “We started talking after that, and then I bumped into him by chance while on holiday in Ibiza. We just clicked right away.”
This isn’t the first time Verstappen has been photographed with van Dijk either. The star defender, who’s crucial to the Dutch national team, previously joined Max for a Heineken advertisement.
Both Garrix and van Dijk are regular fixtures at Grand Prix events, often spotted trackside supporting their racing friend.
Verstappen kept his caption simple when sharing the image: “Caption this…”
Fans quickly jumped in with responses. One commenter wrote: “I only see 3 Dutch kings in their respective disciplines.”
The collaboration between these three Dutch icons has clearly delighted Formula 1 fans across social media.
