Nicolas Hamilton is standing by his brother Lewis as the F1 star’s beloved dog Roscoe battles serious health issues.
The younger Hamilton brother shared a touching photo on social media showing Lewis cuddling with his famous bulldog companion.
“Sending you nothing but love, Roscoe buddy,” Nicolas wrote in the heartfelt post.
The health scare has deeply affected the seven-time world champion. Lewis recently revealed that Roscoe had developed pneumonia, with the situation becoming so critical that the dog’s heart briefly stopped. Doctors placed Roscoe in a medically-induced coma to monitor his condition.
The situation was serious enough that Hamilton skipped two major commitments to remain at Roscoe’s side.
He opted out of scheduled Pirelli tire tests at Mugello and even missed Milan Fashion Week — an event that’s normally a must-attend for the fashion-conscious driver.
Despite the ongoing concern, Hamilton will be back behind the wheel for this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix, though he’s surely hoping for positive news about his furry friend’s recovery.
Roscoe has become something of a celebrity in the F1 paddock over the years, often accompanying Lewis to race weekends and making appearances on the driver’s social media.
## Trainer Shares Emotional Update
Kirstin McMillan, Roscoe’s trainer, has also spoken out about the bulldog’s condition with an emotional message to supporters.
“The overwhelming outpouring of love and energy for Roscoe is astonishing,” she wrote. “I’m keeping my attention and intention on a healthy and healed Roscoe.”
McMillan emphasized how important public support has been during this difficult time.
“Social can be such a powerful siphon of energy and at the moment, this energy feels like a hugely important resource as I walk through this with Dads for the most precious broccoli chomping boy.”
She added that the health crisis came without warning, saying: “Problems arise in life. This one was unexpected and felt sudden. It’s taken me a moment to get my bearings.”
The trainer also acknowledged messages from well-wishers: “I know you guys have gone through really difficult plot twists in your lives as well because you’ve shared with me. Please know I’m not ignoring you. I’m holding focus.”
