Lewis Hamilton ‘Feels at Home’ After First Ferrari Factory Visit

Lewis Hamilton isn’t wasting any time getting comfortable in Ferrari red. The seven-time F1 champion has already jumped into action with his new team, more than a year before his first official race with them in 2025.

The British racing legend shared a behind-the-scenes look at his first days with Ferrari on social media. The video shows him meeting his new colleagues and, more excitingly, taking his first laps in Ferrari’s iconic red F1 car.

Hamilton spent February 4th and 5th working alongside his future teammate Charles Leclerc, testing new Pirelli tyres that’ll be used in 2026.

Day one saw Hamilton edge out Leclerc on the timing sheets. The tables turned on day two, with the Monegasque driver coming out on top.

But here’s the thing – those lap times don’t really tell us much. We don’t know how much fuel each car was carrying or what settings they were using. It’s like comparing apples and oranges.

What’s crystal clear, though, is how quickly Hamilton’s fitting in at Ferrari. At 40 years old, he seems totally at ease in his new surroundings, despite spending over a decade with Mercedes.

"Feeling right at home ~" Hamilton posted on social media, alongside footage of his Ferrari debut.

It’s a massive change for the sport’s most successful driver, who’s leaving Mercedes after years of dominance that brought him six of his seven world titles. But from the looks of things, he’s already making Ferrari’s Maranello factory feel like home.

The real test will come in 2025 when Hamilton officially dons the Ferrari race suit. For now, though, it seems the honeymoon period is off to a pretty perfect start.
