Jean-Eric Vergne’s New Teammate Announced at DS Penske

DS Penske has signed Maximilian Günther for the upcoming Formula E season. He will team up with Jean-Eric Vergne, who is staying for another year.

Günther is moving from Maserati, where Stoffel Vandoorne, a former Formula 1 driver, has taken his place. Last season, Günther raced with Vergne at DS Penske.

Günther is thrilled to be back at DS Penske. “A powerhouse in the championship and a project with strong vision,” he said. “We share the same ambitions and are all driven to be at the top of Formula E. Representing DS Performance, a manufacturer which has won several championships already is a real privilege.”

“A special element for me is to drive for Jay’s team again; he brought me into the championship when I was 20 years old,” Günther added. “I’m proud to be part of the team and excited about what we will build together in the future.”

Guenther and Vergne Have the Same Goal:

Vergne is also excited about Günther joining the team: “Having Max on the team feels right. His calm under pressure and bold instincts on the track will be a huge asset to the team. We share a common goal to push the team to the top of the standings. With our combined skills and determination, I am looking forward to a thrilling season ahead,” said Vergne.

Fans might think this duo could bring some exciting moments this season.
