The Belgian Grand Prix saw drivers making a difference in both qualifying and the race. Rain on Saturday and heat on Sunday created varied conditions that tested everyone.
George Russell and Lewis Hamilton had a strong weekend for Mercedes. Russell crossed the finish line first but lost his win due to disqualification, even though his single-stop strategy was brilliant. Hamilton, meanwhile, had an almost flawless performance in both qualifying and the race.
Oscar Piastri also shone brightly, securing a podium spot and outpacing his teammate at the start. On the flip side, Lando Norris‘s performance was disappointing compared to Piastri’s.
Max Verstappen excelled in qualifying and finished fourth after Russell’s penalty, extending his championship lead. Red Bull Racing didn’t fare as well in the constructors’ championship due to Sergio Perez‘s underwhelming performance.
