Red Bull’s Christian Horner isn’t too worried about the 2024 Formula 1 season yet. Max Verstappen leads by a lot, but the team championship is closer.
Horner shared some stats from this season. “Ten races means there’s still a chunk of points, but out of the first 14 we have won seven. We’ve qualified first at nine of them. We have won two sprint races. So this weekend is important because they are all in the race for the end of the championship,” he said.
Red Bull’s Strategy and Confidence:
Despite challenges, Horner remains optimistic. When asked about McLaren’s challenge, he said: “Absolutely, and that’s because we haven’t had both cars up there. We’re aware of that. We’ve taken engine penalties, and we’ve had DNFs. We’re very clear on what we need to do and turn around, and I’m confident we will.”
During the second practice at Zandvoort, Verstappen finished fifth and Perez was 12th. Both McLarens and Mercedes were in the top four spots, unlike Red Bull.
Fans might wonder if Red Bull can catch up this weekend.
The qualifying session for the Dutch Grand Prix is on Saturday at 15:00. Stay tuned!
